Use of Cookies
Contraband's website uses "cookies" to enable you to sign in and to use our services or purchase our products, and to help personalize your online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Contraband's website uses cookies to store your preferences and other information on your computer in order to save you time by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information and to display your personalized content and appropriate advertising on your later visits to these sites.
When you sign in to our website using your credentials, our website and technology store your unique ID number, and the time you signed in, in an encrypted cookie on your hard disk. This cookie allows you to move from page to page at the site without having to sign in again on each page. When you sign out, these cookies are deleted from your computer. Our website and technology also use cookies to improve the sign in experience. For example, your e-mail address may be stored in a cookie that will remain on your computer after you sign out. This cookie allows your e-mail address to be pre-populated, so that you will only need to type your password the next time you sign in. If you are using a public computer or do not otherwise want this information to be stored, you can select the appropriate radio button on the sign-in page, and this cookie will not be used.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other interactive features of Contraband's website that depend on cookies.

Use of Web Beacons
Contraband's website pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons - sometimes called single-pixel gifs - that may be used to assist in delivering cookies on our sites and allow us to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. We may include web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or our newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. Contraband may also employ web beacons from third parties in order to help us compile aggregated statistics and determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns. We prohibit web beacons on our sites from being used by third parties to collect or access your personal information. We may also work with other companies that advertise on our website to place web beacons on their sites in order to allow us to develop statistics on how often clicking on an advertisement on our website results in a purchase or other action on the advertiser's site.

Orders
Contraband requests information from you on our order form. Here you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customers' orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you.

Security of Your Personal Information
Contraband is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number or password) over the internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

If a password is used to help protect your accounts and personal information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential. Do not share this information with anyone. If you are sharing a computer with anyone you should always choose to log out before leaving a site or service to protect access to your information from subsequent users.

It is important for you to note that if you grant consent for your child to use Contraband's website and their disclosure (and our collection and use) of personal information, such information can be intercepted and accessed by outside sources without our consent, knowledge or facilitation. Parents can change or revoke the consent choices previously made, and review, edit or request the deletion of their children's personal information. To improve our products and service, Contraband collects certain information about its customers. Our policy and pledge is to use the information in a responsible way. We do not sell customer information to any third party, nor do we have any plans to do so. If this changes, we will post a notice here. In that case, we will provide customers with the means to let us know that they do not want us to sell information about them. If, at some future date, you want us to delete information about you from our database you may feel free to contact us for this purpose. You will need to give us your full name and e-mail address.

Use of Third Party Ad Networks
The online banner advertisements you see on Contraband's web pages may be from third-party ad servers or ad networks. Some of these ad networks may place a persistent cookie on your computer in order to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad networks may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. Contraband does not have access to the cookies that may be placed by the third-party ad servers or ad networks. Although Contraband may maintain a relationship with a number of the third-party ad networks, we do not necessarily have any control over the ad networks' use of cookies or whether they offer you a way to opt out of ad targeting.

  • use a third party's internet domain name, or be relayed from or through a third party's equipment, without permission of the third party;
  • contain false or misleading information in the subject line or false or misleading content;
  • fail to comply with additional technical standards described below; or
  • otherwise violate our website Privacy Policy and terms of use.
Contraband does not authorize the harvesting, mining or collection of e-mail addresses or other information from or through its website, and does not permit or authorize others to use the website to collect, compile or obtain any information about our customers. We also do not permit or authorize any attempt to use our website or any information submitted by a customer in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair any aspect of any of our website, or that could interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of our website. If we discover or have reason to believe an unauthorized or improper use is being made of our website, we may, without notice, take such action as we deem appropriate, including blocking access, messages or use from a particular internet domain, mail server or IP address. We may also immediately terminate any customer account which we have reason to believe, in our sole discretion, is transmitting or is otherwise connected with any actions that violate this anti-spam policy.

Changes to This Privacy Statement
We will occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services and customer feedback. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
